In The "Last Season"

Exodus 16:19 Then Moses said to them, "No one is to keep any of it until morning."20 However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell.

Against the Lords commands, people tried to save up and "hoard" food.... believing that HE may not provide the next morning the provision that they need. The Lord is right in the middle of teaching what he will instruct Solomon to write later; Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. In their understanding, it makes sense to save a little, it does to me. But when commanded by God not to...to trust Him to provide your daily bread...we should pay attention. What also doesn't make sense in my own understanding, is why the same manna that gets maggots during the week, doesnt get maggots on the Sabbath. Who knows, but if GOd commanded it, you dont have to understand it.

Luke 13: 6Then he told this parable: "A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. 7So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years now I've been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?' 8" 'Sir,' the man replied, 'leave it alone for one more year, and I'll dig around it and fertilize it. 9If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.' "

This was a stern warning to the Jews. They refused to listen to Jesus and his Gospel. Jesus ministry was 3 actual years and the Jews rejected Him. Jesus still went before God, or the man who took care of the vineyard went to the owner of the vineyard on behalf of the Nation (fig tree) and requested another season. We are in that season right now. This warning really goes for all....come to saving knowledge of Jesus (relationship) or there will come a day, you will be cut down, your sins will be counted toward you. We must be diligent in sharing the love of Christ. There is so much negative going on in the world today, the goodness of God when lived out is very very evident. Lets be doer of the Word...be the Light of the world.
