seeker vs user (both not saved)

Romans 16 17-18 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

Paul is issuing a warning. He is telling those within the church to watch out for, be careful of, and keep away from people professing to be believers yet are merely praying on the softness that God places in our hearts for others.

I have seen “wolves in sheeps clothing” before….and they take all shapes, sizes and orientations.

I think the distinction is between those professing to be believers and non-believers. Actually both are non-believers…one may be “seeking” and the other may trying to serve their own carnal, sensual and worldly desires. Paul just made the distinction, so we should keep our radar up.

God I pray your protection over ANC. I pray that we would be a place where the “seeker” is welcomed and the user is uncomfortable. I also pray that those who are using the church would hear your word and trust you for salvation.
