Tonight, Tate got asked to be a homeless guys valentine. She accepted......
We decided that fighting the dinner crowds and spending $100 on dinner lacked a little luster this year, so we joined the Hatmakers and made Love Bags for the homeless and delivered them last night.
The love bags included, applesauce (spoon), new socks, granola bar, toothbrush, toothpaste, water, and the kids made homemade Valentines and put those in the large gallon plastic baggie...so that when it was handed to the folks..they saw it.
Some of the guys and girls who accepted the bags were touched.....as we drove off from one guy we looked back...to see that the first thing he got out of his bag....was the card. Doesn't that say something about peoples greatest need. People need to be loved.
